Job Overview

The Security Manager will be the principal officer responsible for ensuring a safe and secure environment for all students, staff, and visitors within the Nord Anglia school campus in Qatar. This role will work closely with senior leadership and operations teams to develop, implement, and continuously improve security and safety strategies, aligning with international standards and best local practices in Qatar.

Key Expected Responsibilities and Duties

• Lead and develop the school security team, including training, supervision, and ongoing performance evaluation.
• Develop and implement comprehensive security policies and procedures covering all aspects of campus protection.
• Manage security surveillance systems (CCTV), access control, and other security technologies.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and emergency drills to ensure school preparedness for any incident.
• Liaise with local Qatari security authorities and specialists to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Manage security and safety incidents, including investigation and reporting to management.
• Develop and deliver safety and security awareness programs for students and staff.
• Prepare the security department budget and monitor expenditures within the allocated framework.
• Ensure emergency and evacuation plans are updated and clearly communicated to all stakeholders.

Essential Qualifications and Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Security Management, Safety, Business Administration) or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience of 5-7 years in a managerial or leadership role within the security sector, with preference given to experience in international school environments or large institutions.
• In-depth knowledge of security and safety management principles, risk assessment, and emergency response planning.
• Excellent leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and train a team.
• Strong understanding of local Qatari laws and regulations pertaining to security and safety.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, in English (Arabic is a significant advantage).
• Ability to work under pressure and make swift, sound decisions in critical situations.
