Essential Qualifications and Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Teaching, or a closely related field. A postgraduate qualification in SEN is highly preferred.
- A recognized teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, teaching license, or equivalent).
- Proven practical experience of at least 3 years teaching students with special educational needs (SEN) in a school setting, with experience in international schools being advantageous.
- In-depth knowledge of a wide range of learning needs, including specific learning difficulties, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a dedication to promoting inclusivity and equity in education.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English (the primary language of instruction). Knowledge of Arabic is an additional asset.
