Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The Senior Accountant at Elite Falcon Delivery Services LLC will play a central role in managing and executing the company's financial and accounting operations. Key responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing the preparation of periodic financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annual) and ensuring their accuracy and compliance with local and international standards.
• Managing month-end and year-end closing processes efficiently and on schedule.
• Reviewing and monitoring accounts payable and receivable, ensuring regular reconciliation of balances.
• Preparing and monitoring budgets and financial forecasts, analyzing actual variances against plans.
• Supervising invoicing and receivables processes, ensuring timely collection of dues.
• Managing expense and disbursement processes in line with company policies.
• Ensuring compliance with local tax regulations in the UAE and preparing relevant tax filings.
• Working closely with the Finance Manager and accounting team to support internal and external audit processes.
• Improving and developing internal accounting procedures and policies to enhance efficiency and control.
• Preparing analytical financial reports for senior management to aid in strategic decision-making.
• Supervising, training, and mentoring junior members of the accounting team.

Qualifications and Essential Requirements

To qualify for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA are a significant advantage and may be a prerequisite.
• A minimum of 5 to 7 years of practical accounting experience, with proven experience in a Senior Accountant role or similar.
• Prior experience in the logistics, transportation, or delivery sector is highly preferred, with an understanding of its financial operations.
• Excellent proficiency in accounting and financial ERP software such as Oracle, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, VLookup).
• In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Strong understanding of applicable tax regulations in the UAE (e.g., VAT).
• Strong analytical and investigative skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain financial matters to non-specialists.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Arabic is an additional advantage.
