Job Description

The Senior Auditor within the External Audit team will be responsible for managing and executing complex audit engagements for clients across various industries. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the planning, execution, and completion of external audit engagements for major multinational and local corporations.
• Evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls and ensuring compliance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and local regulations.
• Preparing and analyzing financial statements to ensure their accuracy and transparency.
• Supervising audit teams, mentoring junior auditors, and reviewing their work.
• Communicating effectively with client management, building relationships, and delivering valuable insights and practical recommendations.
• Preparing comprehensive audit reports and presenting findings to senior management and firm partners.
• Staying abreast of developments in accounting standards, auditing regulations, and the evolving Saudi and Gulf market landscape.

Requirements and Qualifications

To qualify for this role, you should meet the following criteria:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or advanced professional certification is a strong advantage.
• A recognized professional accounting qualification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant), ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), or CA (Chartered Accountant). This is typically a prerequisite or a highly desirable asset.
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven experience in external audit, with a background in a leading global or regional audit firm (Big Four experience is highly valued).
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) and International Auditing Standards.
• Experience working with clients in sectors such as Oil & Gas, Financial Services, Real Estate, or Retail is a significant advantage.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage teams and work under pressure to meet challenging deadlines.
• Excellent command of the English language (written and spoken). Proficiency in Arabic is a strong asset for the Saudi market.
• Exceptional communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills with a keen attention to detail.
