Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The Senior Business Development Manager at AtkinsRealis will be a cornerstone of the region's growth strategy. The focus will be on identifying new business opportunities and building long-term strategic relationships with key clients, particularly in the government and private sectors. Core responsibilities will include:

• Driving Growth Strategy: Developing and executing comprehensive business development plans for targeted sectors, with a focus on major infrastructure projects, transportation, energy, and smart cities.
• Opportunity Identification & Bid Management: Proactively researching new project opportunities and managing the entire tender process from initial identification through to final proposal submission.
• Building Strategic Relationships: Establishing and nurturing relationships with existing and potential clients, business partners, and relevant government entities to enhance the firm's market presence.
• Market Analysis: Conducting in-depth market and competitor research to identify trends and proactive opportunities that align with AtkinsRealis's capabilities.
• Internal Collaboration: Working closely with engineering, delivery, finance, and legal teams to ensure robust and cost-effective proposals are presented.
• Reporting & Planning: Preparing detailed periodic reports on business pipelines, win rates, and revenue forecasts for senior management.

Qualifications & Essential Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this leadership role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in business development or strategic sales, with a strong focus on the engineering consultancy, construction, or infrastructure sector. Experience in the Saudi or Gulf market is a significant advantage.
• Education: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's in Business Administration (MBA) or similar qualification will be highly regarded.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead teams and drive strategic initiatives towards achieving targets.
• Analytical & Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial modeling, profitability analysis, and pricing strategies.
• Communication & Negotiation Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills in both English and Arabic, with superior negotiation and stakeholder influencing abilities.
• Professional Network: A strong and established professional network within the construction and infrastructure sector in Saudi Arabia.
