Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Direct Operational Supervision: Supervising a team of waiters/waitresses and assistant captains during service periods, ensuring all tasks are executed according to Marriott International's high standards.
  • Ensuring Service Quality: Monitoring the quality of food and beverage presentation, ensuring timely and proper service, and interacting directly with guests to address any inquiries or complaints promptly and professionally.

  • Compliance Adherence: Ensuring full compliance with all company policies, local and international health and safety standards, and food safety protocols (HACCP).

Essential Qualifications and Requirements

To be a suitable candidate for this leadership role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Work Experience: Proven experience of at least 3 to 5 years in the food and beverage service sector within a hotel or upscale restaurant environment, with prior experience in a supervisory role such as Captain or Waiter Supervisor.
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of fine dining etiquette and protocols, and strong knowledge of food and beverage varieties, particularly international cuisine.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and motivate a team under pressure, possessing excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Personal Attributes: Leadership personality, positive attitude, high flexibility to work during peak hours, holidays, and weekends, with a strong focus on detail.
  • Language Requirements: Excellent command of the English language (spoken and written). Knowledge of Arabic is a significant advantage.
  • Educational Qualification: A diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.
