Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The Senior Legal Consultant will hold a pivotal role within the firm, responsible for providing strategic, high-level legal counsel to clients. The core responsibilities include:

• Providing specialized legal advice in the firm's core practice areas, which are expected to include fields such as corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, commercial litigation, real estate, or finance, based on the candidate's expertise.
• Leading and managing complex client portfolios from inception to completion, ensuring the highest standards of quality and professional efficiency.
• Drafting and reviewing contracts, agreements, and other legal documents with meticulous attention to detail.
• Representing clients in negotiations and disputes, acting as a primary liaison between them and various stakeholders.
• Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers and consultants within the team, fostering knowledge transfer and enhancing the team's collective capabilities.
• Contributing to the business development of the firm by building strong working relationships with existing clients and pursuing new client acquisitions.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

To be eligible for this leadership role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized university. A Master of Laws (LLM) or an advanced professional legal qualification will be a significant advantage.
• Professional Experience: A minimum of 8 to 10 years of post-qualification legal practice experience, with a proven track record of working in a reputable law firm environment, preferably within the Middle East region and specifically the UAE market.
• Licensing: The applicant must possess a valid license to practice law in the United Arab Emirates (e.g., from the Dubai Legal Affairs Department or the relevant authority).
• Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of UAE federal and local laws and regulations. Experience in Common Law jurisdictions is considered advantageous.
