Job Description

The Senior Platform Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring the stability, efficiency, and security of the Linux-based technology infrastructure. You will be the primary authority responsible for designing, building, maintaining, and evolving the core platforms that support the company's operations and critical applications.

Key responsibilities are expected to include:

• Designing, implementing, and evolving large-scale Linux system infrastructure with a focus on scalability and resilience.
• Managing and configuring Linux servers across diverse environments (physical, virtual, cloud).
• Automating deployment, configuration, and maintenance tasks using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Monitoring system performance, analyzing metrics, and taking proactive actions to ensure the highest levels of availability.
• Implementing and developing cybersecurity policies to protect systems and data.
• Troubleshooting and resolving complex issues in multi-tiered environments.
• Working closely with Development and Operations (DevOps) teams to improve Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Preparing technical documentation and performance reports.
• Providing guidance and technical support to less experienced team members.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be a successful candidate for this role, you should meet the following criteria:

Technical Requirements:

• Proven hands-on experience of 5-7 years in managing and designing Linux platforms in large production environments.
• Deep mastery of Linux operating systems (e.g., RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) and their configuration.
• Strong experience with automation tools and frameworks (Ansible is preferred).
• Advanced knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience in managing storage and networking systems relevant to server infrastructure.
• Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles and their application to Linux systems.
• Strong scripting skills in languages like Bash, Python, or Perl.
• Familiarity with monitoring systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix).
