Job Description & Key Responsibilities
The Senior Manager Finance and Accounts will hold a pivotal role within the company's management structure, responsible for leading and directing all financial and accounting activities. The core responsibilities of this leadership position include:
- Strategic Leadership: Developing and implementing the company's financial strategies in alignment with its overall business objectives and growth plans in the Dubai and UAE market.
- Financial Management: Overseeing all financial and management accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Preparing budgets, financial forecasts, and analytical models to support strategic decision-making by senior management.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitoring and managing the company's cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity to fund ongoing and future construction operations and projects.
- Compliance & Control: Ensuring all financial and accounting operations comply with local regulations in the UAE (e.g., Financial Audit Regulations) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Team Management: Leading and developing the finance and accounting team, providing guidance and mentorship to enhance team performance.
- Stakeholder Management: Liaising with banks, external auditors, financial consultants, and other key stakeholders.
- Project Analysis: Evaluating the financial viability of new construction projects and tenders.
Qualifications & Requirements
To be a successful candidate for this leadership role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Advanced professional certifications (such as CMA, CPA, ACCA, CA) are a significant advantage and often a prerequisite.
- Professional Experience: A minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in finance and accounting, with a substantial portion in leadership roles (Manager or Senior Manager level). Experience in the construction or real estate development sector within the Gulf region is a crucial and highly desired advantage.
- Technical Knowledge: Advanced proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., ERP - SAP, Oracle) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). In-depth knowledge of UAE tax and financial regulations.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a multicultural team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels.
- Analytical Skills: Superior financial analysis, complex problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making abilities.
- Language: Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential. Knowledge of Arabic is an additional advantage.
