Job Overview
The Senior Operations Manager will occupy a pivotal role within the company's leadership structure, holding direct responsibility for overseeing all operational aspects of facilities management activities. This position aims to ensure the delivery of high-quality services, enhance operational efficiency, achieve the highest levels of client satisfaction, and maintain full compliance with local and international standards and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Leadership & Strategic Planning: Lead the operations team and develop strategic operational plans aligned with the company's overall objectives and long-term vision.
- Performance & Quality Management: Directly supervise the execution of all facilities management contracts and services, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement in existing processes and lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs without compromising service quality.
- Resource Management: Effectively manage human resources, physical assets, and operational budgets to ensure goals are met within the defined financial framework.
- Client Relations: Act as a strategic point of contact for key clients, understanding their requirements, ensuring their expectations are exceeded, and proactively managing any issues or disputes professionally.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all operations comply with local regulations and laws in Dubai and the UAE, with a particular focus on Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards.
- Reporting & Evaluation: Prepare detailed periodic reports for senior management on operational performance, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), challenges, and opportunities.
Essential Qualifications and Requirements
- Academic Qualification: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFM) is a strong advantage.
- Work Experience: Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in facilities management or operations, with a proven track record of at least 5 years in senior leadership and supervisory roles.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of all facets of facilities management including maintenance, engineering services, project management, and contracts.
- Leadership Skills: Exceptional ability to lead and motivate large, diverse teams, coupled with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Analytical Skills: Strong capability in data analysis, evidence-based strategic decision-making, and solving complex problems.
- Language Proficiency: Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Arabic is a significant advantage in the UAE job market.
- Local Knowledge: Good understanding of the business environment, regulations, and laws applicable in the Emirate of Dubai and the UAE.
