Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The Senior Mechanical QC Inspector will be responsible for ensuring all mechanical works and equipment comply with high-standard specifications, international codes, and specific project requirements. Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting regular and precise inspections of mechanical components, installations, and assemblies at the project site or workshop.
• Reviewing and inspecting Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), material certificates, and test reports (e.g., weld tests, pressure tests) for compliance.
• Utilizing specialized measurement and testing tools (e.g., dimensional gauges, weld inspection equipment) to perform required measurements and tests.
• Preparing detailed and clear inspection reports, documenting any non-conformances or deviations from specifications, and providing supporting photos and data.
• Working closely with engineering teams, contractors, and suppliers to resolve any quality-related issues arising during execution phases.
• Monitoring the installation and pre-commissioning of mechanical equipment to ensure safe performance and defect-free operation.
• Ensuring adherence to all company and project site safety and quality procedures.
• Supervising and guiding less experienced QC technicians or inspectors, if required.
• Participating in quality reviews and project-related technical meetings.

Qualifications & Essential Requirements

To be eligible for this critical role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or an advanced recognized technical diploma with equivalent experience.
• Professional Certifications: Possession of recognized quality control certifications (e.g., CWI, CSWIP, NACE) or other accredited inspection certifications is highly preferred.
• Work Experience: A minimum of 7 to 10 years of hands-on experience in mechanical quality control and inspection, with a proven track record on major construction, industrial, or oil & gas projects in the Gulf region.
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of relevant international standards (e.g., ASME, ASTM, API, ANSI) and project specifications.
• Personal Skills: Excellent communication and reporting skills (written and verbal), with the ability to work within a team and in a multicultural environment. Accuracy and attention to detail are paramount.
• Other: Proficiency in basic computer software (MS Office). Fluency in English for reading and writing is essential, and knowledge of Arabic will be an added advantage.
