"Tawteen" is seeking to fill the position of Senior Relationship Manager within its Private Banking team in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman. Job Description & Responsibilities

The Senior Relationship Manager will hold a strategic position as the primary officer responsible for building, managing, and enhancing relationships with a distinguished clientele in the private banking segment. The focus will be on understanding clients' complex financial needs and designing and implementing comprehensive financial strategies that meet their long-term objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a portfolio of relationships with High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNWIs) and established family groups.
  • Developing deep, sustainable client relationships built on trust and specialized advisory.
  • Analyzing clients' financial situations and goals to provide tailored investment and financial recommendations.
  • Designing and delivering holistic banking solutions encompassing investment management, financial planning, credit, and international banking services.
  • Working closely with internal specialist teams (such as investment experts, tax planners, and wealth structuring lawyers) to provide an integrated service.
  • Identifying new business opportunities and expanding the client base through professional networks and referrals.
  • Ensuring full compliance with local and international regulatory requirements and the bank's internal policies.
  • Monitoring the performance of clients' investment portfolios, providing periodic reports and adjustment recommendations.

Requirements & Qualifications

This role is designed for professionals with a proven track record and demonstrated achievements in private banking or wealth management.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Business, Economics, or Accounting. Advanced qualifications (MBA, CFA, CFP certifications) are a significant competitive advantage.
  • A minimum of 7 to 10 years of practical experience in private banking or HNWI wealth management, with a proven success record in managing a profitable relationship portfolio.
  • Deep knowledge of private banking products, financial markets, investment instruments, and tax/estate planning structures.
  • Strong understanding of the regulatory framework governing the Omani and GCC banking sector.
  • An existing professional network within the Omani or GCC market is considered a key asset.

  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills at the highest professional level.
  • The ability to build trust and maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and integrity.
  • A strong client-service orientation and problem-solving aptitude for complex situations.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data.
  • The capability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English. Knowledge of Arabic is an important additional advantage.
