Job Overview

The Senior Structural Engineer will hold a critical role within the engineering team, bearing responsibility for both the technical and managerial aspects of complex structural projects. Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Lead and execute structural design and analysis for a variety of projects using the latest software and international codes (e.g., ACI, AISC, BS, Eurocodes).
• Prepare and review structural calculations, detailed drawings, material specifications, and technical reports.
• Coordinate and collaborate closely with other design disciplines (architectural, mechanical, electrical) to ensure design integration.
• Supervise and provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers and drafters.
• Conduct design reviews of submissions from contractors and sub-consultants.
• Visit project sites for inspection, troubleshooting, and ensuring construction compliance with design specifications.
• Ensure full compliance with all applicable quality, safety, and Qatari standards and regulations.
• Manage schedules and budgets related to structural tasks within the project framework.

Qualifications & Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university. A Master’s degree is a strong advantage.
• A minimum of 10 to 15 years of proven experience in structural design, with a strong focus on major projects.
• Demonstrated experience working on projects in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, with in-depth knowledge of local Qatari construction requirements and standards.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, STAAD.Pro) and BIM tools like Revit.
• Professional certification (e.g., Chartered Engineer, P.E. license, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership skills and excellent communication abilities to work within a multidisciplinary, multicultural team.
• Fluency in written and spoken English. Knowledge of Arabic is beneficial.
