Job Overview

The Senior Technical Lead will serve as the primary authority for the operations and management of the Network Operations Center (NOC). The core focus will be on the day-to-day oversight of system and network performance, ensuring compliance with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and leading a team of skilled engineers and technicians. The NOC is the central hub for monitoring and maintaining all technical components of the company, making this a high-responsibility role that demands precision and exceptional leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Leadership and Supervision: Lead and guide the NOC team by providing technical and administrative direction, assigning tasks, and fostering a productive work environment.
• Performance Management and Monitoring: Oversee the 24/7 monitoring of network infrastructure, systems, and server performance, enabling early detection of incidents or deviations from normal performance baselines.
• Incident Response and Operations: Lead the technical incident response process, ensuring swift implementation of corrective actions to minimize downtime and the business impact of failures.
• Planning and Development: Contribute to the development of strategies and improvements for NOC processes, including procedure documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and disaster recovery plans.
• Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure all operations adhere to internal and external security policies, regulatory standards, and best practices.
• Communication and Reporting: Act as a central liaison between the NOC team and other departments such as Engineering, Cybersecurity, and Technical Support. Prepare and present regular performance analysis and reports to senior management.

Essential Qualifications and Requirements

• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a similar technical discipline. A higher degree may be an advantage.
• Work Experience: Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in IT operations, with at least 3 years of proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a Network Operations Center (NOC) or similar technical operations environment.
• Technical Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of network and system monitoring concepts and tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG, Zabbix).
  • Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF) and infrastructure architecture.
  • Experience with incident management and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Service Desk).
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and operational best practices.
• Personal and Leadership Skills:
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English.
  • High analytical and problem-solving aptitude for troubleshooting complex issues.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
