NMC Healthcare LLC, a leading provider of healthcare services in the Gulf region, is currently seeking a qualified and dedicated Specialist in Emergency Medicine to join their medical team in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates. Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be stationed in the Emergency Department, playing a critical role in providing immediate and specialized medical care to critical and acute patients. Core responsibilities include:

  • Patient Assessment & Diagnosis: Performing rapid and accurate clinical evaluations of patients presenting to the ER, diagnosing emergent and acute medical conditions.
  • Management & Treatment: Initiating and executing appropriate immediate treatment plans, including advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), patient stabilization, and performing emergency medical procedures within the specialty's scope.
  • Coordination & Collaboration: Working closely with a multidisciplinary team comprising nurses, emergency technicians, radiologists, and consulting physicians from other specialties to ensure integrated patient care flow.
  • Supervision & Guidance: The role may involve supervising residents or interns within the Emergency Department, providing clinical guidance and educational support.
  • Protocol Adherence: Ensuring strict compliance with hospital protocols, policies, and the standards and regulations set by local UAE health authorities (e.g., DOH, DHA, MOHAP).
  • Documentation: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records for all cases managed.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

To be eligible for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, coupled with a recognized post-graduate specialization qualification in Emergency Medicine (Fellowship, Diploma, or equivalent).
  • Licensing: Candidates must possess a valid United Arab Emirates medical license to practice (issued by the Ministry of Health & Prevention - MoHAP, Dubai Health Authority - DHA, or Department of Health - Abu Dhabi), or be immediately eligible to obtain one. Prior license holders will have a distinct advantage.
  • Experience: Proven post-specialization experience of 3 to 5 years in Emergency Medicine within a recognized hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Skills: Exceptional clinical skills in managing a wide spectrum of emergency cases (trauma, acute cardiac events, neurological emergencies, etc.). Ability to work effectively under pressure and make swift, decisive decisions. Excellent communication and team collaboration skills are essential.
  • Language: Proficiency in spoken and written English is mandatory. Knowledge of the Arabic language is a valuable asset.
