A leading multinational corporation (MNC) in the technology sector is seeking to hire a highly skilled Senior IT Support Engineer to join its dynamic team at its headquarters in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The Senior IT Support Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the organization's IT infrastructure. The core responsibilities will include:

  • Providing Tier-2 and Tier-3 Technical Support: Diagnosing and resolving complex hardware, software, and system issues for end-users and internal staff, escalating beyond first-level support.
  • Infrastructure Management and Maintenance: Overseeing servers, networking equipment, storage systems, and ensuring their stability, security, and adherence to best practices.
  • Technical Project Implementation: Contributing to the planning and execution of IT infrastructure upgrade or expansion projects, including migration and deployment tasks.
  • Documentation and Procedures: Creating and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation, operational manuals, and troubleshooting procedures to ensure knowledge transfer and consistency.
  • On-site and Remote Support: Providing technical assistance to users at the headquarters and potentially other branches, with availability for after-hours support to handle critical incidents.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with cybersecurity teams, development teams, and operations teams to ensure solution integration and alignment with business needs.
  • Training and Mentoring: Providing guidance and technical support to less experienced members of the support team.

Qualifications and Essential Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Work Experience: Minimum of 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure support and operations, with proven experience in a large corporate or multinational company environment.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Advanced proficiency in server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux).
    • In-depth knowledge of networking technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Firewalls, Switching/Routing).
    • Experience managing Microsoft 365 services and Active Directory environments.
    • Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts and best practices.
    • Experience with IT service management tools and ITIL frameworks (ITIL Foundation certification is a strong plus).
    • Familiarity with unified communications systems and cloud storage solutions.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English.
    • Team player with the ability to work independently.
    • Customer-service oriented with a commitment to continuous learning.
