Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The successful technician will be integrated into the company's production and technical team, responsible for crucial tasks that support client branding and signage projects. Core duties include:

1. Precise Material Installation: Expertly applying various types of vinyl stickers (permanent, removable, reflective, etc.) onto diverse surfaces including glass, metal, composite boards, walls, and vehicles.
2. Surface Preparation: Thoroughly cleaning and preparing target surfaces prior to installation to ensure optimal, long-lasting adhesion by removing contaminants, dust, or residues.
3. Interpreting Layouts: Ability to read and understand design proofs, schematics, and measurements provided by the design team or clients to execute projects accurately.
4. Cutting & Weeding Materials: Skillfully using hand tools and power equipment (such as squeegees, heat guns, cutting blades, rulers) to cut, shape, and weed vinyl materials as per job specifications.
5. Vehicle Graphics Application: Performing partial or full vehicle wraps, as well as installing decals and advertisements on cars, buses, trucks, and other vehicles.
6. Quality Control: Inspecting materials before application and ensuring the finished product is free from bubbles, wrinkles, creases, or alignment defects.
7. Basic Tool Maintenance: Taking care of all installation tools and equipment, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
8. On-site Work: The role may require travel to client locations to complete installation projects off-site.

Required Qualifications & Skills

To be a successful candidate for this role, you should possess the following:

• Practical Experience: Proven previous experience (minimum 1 year) in a similar role as a Vinyl Installer, Signage Technician, or in a related printing/wrapping field.
• Technical Skills:
  • High level of manual skill and exceptional attention to detail during installation.
  • Basic understanding of the properties of different vinyl materials and adhesives.
  • Proficiency in safely and efficiently using cutting and application tools.
