Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The successful supervisor will be tasked with leading the Quality Control team and overseeing all activities related to product/process inspection and compliance assurance. The core responsibilities of this leadership role include:

• Leadership & Supervision: Directing, training, and evaluating the performance of QC team members to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in task execution.
• Procedure Development & Implementation: Developing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and inspection plans to guarantee consistency and reliability in all processes.
• Monitoring & Evaluation: Directly supervising inspection and testing processes for raw materials, in-process items, and finished goods to identify any deviations from set specifications.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Collecting and analyzing quality data, preparing detailed reports on performance, defect rates, and improvement metrics. Presenting these findings to senior management.
• Problem Solving: Investigating root causes of non-conformities or defects and collaborating with production and engineering teams to develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Compliance Assurance: Ensuring all processes adhere to relevant local and international standards, as well as specific customer requirements.
• Equipment Management: Calibrating and maintaining quality measurement and inspection tools to ensure their accuracy.
• Promoting a Quality Culture: Championing the importance of quality and safety among all employees and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements

To be considered a suitable candidate for this supervisory position, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical) or Science, or any field closely related to Quality Control. A higher degree or certification will be an added advantage.
• Work Experience: A minimum of 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in a quality control field, with at least 2-3 years of proven experience in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of quality control principles, statistics, and continuous improvement methodologies like Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing. Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, etc.) is highly desirable.
• Personal Skills:
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both verbal and written) in English. Arabic proficiency is a significant plus.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make timely decisions.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with data analysis software or Quality Management Systems software is preferred.
