Job Overview

The UPS Works Foreman will be stationed at SFASCO's work site in Jubail. The core responsibilities will revolve around the direct supervision of technical teams responsible for the installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of UPS systems. These systems are critical for ensuring operational continuity in industrial plants and sensitive facilities, providing an immediate backup power source in the event of a main power failure.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide daily supervision, direction, and guidance to the team of UPS technicians to ensure efficient and safe task execution.
• Plan and schedule routine and preventive maintenance activities for UPS systems in accordance with company standards and technical specifications.
• Ensure full compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) procedures on the work site.
• Inspect and troubleshoot UPS systems to diagnose faults and determine required corrective actions.
• Monitor the quality of work performed and ensure it meets agreed-upon technical specifications.
• Train and develop the skills of technicians under his/her supervision.
• Prepare daily technical reports on work progress, emergency cases, and achievements.
• Coordinate with other departments such as procurement and stores to secure required spare parts and materials.
• Respond to emergency calls related to power systems and manage urgent repair operations.

Essential Qualifications and Requirements

• A diploma or technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of UPS systems, with prior supervisory experience (as a team leader or foreman).
• In-depth knowledge of UPS system components (e.g., batteries, rectifiers, inverters) and testing methodologies.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team in an industrial setting.
• A strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Proficiency in English (reading and writing) is a significant advantage.
