Urologist Job Opportunity in Oman
Client of Coastline Travels, in collaboration with a leading healthcare institution in the Sultanate of Oman, is actively seeking a qualified and experienced Urologist to join their medical team. Job Description
The appointed Urologist will be responsible for a range of key duties and clinical responsibilities within the medical facility, including:
- Diagnosing and treating diseases and injuries related to the urinary tract in both males and females, and the male reproductive system.
- Performing comprehensive clinical evaluations and interpreting laboratory test results and imaging studies (such as ultrasounds, CT scans, and MRIs).
- Performing urological surgical procedures, which may range from minimally invasive endoscopic surgeries to more complex open surgeries.
- Providing pre-operative and post-operative care and follow-up for patients.
- Working collaboratively with physicians from other specialties (e.g., oncology, nephrology, endocrinology) to provide comprehensive, multi-disciplinary patient care.
- Supervising residents and trainee doctors within the Urology department and participating in continuous medical education activities.
- Adhering to the highest standards of medical practice, professional ethics, and the policies of the healthcare institution.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be considered a suitable candidate for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Medicine and Surgery, followed by a specialization degree (Board Certification) in Urology from a recognized university or authority.
- Licensing: Must possess a valid medical license to practice in the Sultanate of Oman, or be eligible to obtain one. Preference will be given to doctors holding internationally recognized specialist certifications (e.g., American, British, or equivalent fellowships).
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in the Urology specialty after obtaining the postgraduate qualification. Experience in a large hospital or specialized medical center setting is a strong advantage.
- Skills: Full proficiency in diagnostic and surgical procedures within the specialty. Excellent patient communication and relationship management skills. Ability to work under pressure and within a multicultural team. Proficiency in English is essential, and knowledge of Arabic is a significant advantage.
- Personal Attributes: Precision, reliability, commitment to patient care, and a desire for continuous learning and development.
