Job Overview

The Virtualization Architect will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing the company's virtualization infrastructure strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that virtualization systems are robust, scalable, secure, and efficiently support the company's business and operational objectives. Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Design & Planning: Lead the design and planning of comprehensive virtualization architecture, encompassing virtual servers, storage, and networking, while considering performance, cost, and security requirements.
• Implementation & Management: Oversee the implementation, management, and optimization of virtualization solutions (e.g., VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, open-source solutions).
• Strategy & Development: Develop long-term virtualization strategy and roadmap, adopting emerging technologies such as private/hybrid cloud and containerization.
• Performance & Security: Monitor the performance of the virtual environment, conduct proactive optimizations, and ensure the implementation of cybersecurity best practices and data protection.
• Business Support: Collaborate closely with IT teams and other business departments to understand requirements and deliver supportive technical solutions.
• Documentation & Training: Create comprehensive technical documentation and provide guidance and training to the IT team.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced certifications are a strong advantage.
• Experience: Proven hands-on experience of 5-7 years in IT infrastructure engineering, with a strong focus on designing and managing large-scale virtualized environments.
• Technical Skills:
  • Deep expertise in core virtualization platforms (VMware, Microsoft, KVM, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows Server, Linux), storage technologies (SAN/NAS), and networking.
  • Experience with automation and scripting tools (e.g., PowerCLI, Bash, Python).
  • Understanding of cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid computing concepts.
• Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical teams. Leadership qualities and the ability to manage complex projects.
