Wedding Hall Supervisor - Kuwait

Job Description and Responsibilities
The successful supervisor will be directly responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the wedding hall, ensuring exceptional service delivery that meets client expectations and upholds the venue's reputation. Key responsibilities include:
- Operational Supervision: Comprehensive management of all hall activities during operational hours and events, including pre-event preparations, live event execution, and post-event shutdown.
- Team Management: Leading and directing the hall's workforce, which may include reception staff, service personnel, maintenance workers, and external contractors. This involves task delegation, training, and ensuring adherence to performance and professional conduct standards.
- Customer Service: Direct interaction with clients (event hosts) from the initial inquiry stage through to the conclusion of the celebration. This includes understanding their requirements, presenting offers and details, and ensuring all agreed-upon items are executed with the highest quality.
- Quality Control: Monitoring all aspects related to service, cleanliness, hall arrangement, food and beverage quality (in coordination with caterers or suppliers), and audio-visual setups to guarantee a seamless and enjoyable experience for guests.
- Logistical Management: Coordinating with various departments and suppliers such as caterers, decoration companies, photography teams, and others to execute event details as planned.
- Safety and Security: Ensuring the hall and all operations comply with applicable health, safety, and occupational regulations in Kuwait, and addressing any emergencies that may arise during events.
- Administrative Duties: Contributing to administrative tasks such as attendance monitoring, basic equipment inventory, and handling daily reports.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be a suitable candidate for this position, you should meet the following criteria:
- Proven Experience: A minimum of 3 years of prior demonstrated experience in managing or supervising wedding halls, hotels, conference centers, or the event management field in general.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment typical during social events.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Superior ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients, staff, and suppliers, in both Arabic and English.
- Customer-Oriented Attitude: A passion for delivering exceptional client experiences and the skill to handle special requests and resolve complaints effectively.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional ability to organize time, manage multiple details simultaneously, and adhere to deadlines.
- Work Flexibility: Flexibility in working hours, as the role requires working during evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak social seasons.
- Local Knowledge: An understanding of the nature of social events, customs, and traditions in Kuwaiti and Gulf society is a significant advantage.
