Overview

The AGH University of Krakow conducts world-class research in various disciplines of science, laying the foundations for quality education and the development of academia. Research is one of the building blocks of the university’s operations and position. AGH University offers education in more than 70 fields of study in 18 faculties with up to 26 programmes in English.  AGH University is a modern university that values collaboration with research centres and universities from all over the world. It is a technical university with strong representation of exact sciences and a gradually increasing role of social sciences and humanities.  The university's educational portfolio comprises more than 70 programmes in the first cycle (Bachelor) and more than 50 programmes in the second cycle (Master’s). AGH University offers unique, often interdisciplinary educational pathways that can be tailored to individual needs. Every year, the university launches new fields of study with curricula that take into account the realities of the labour market arising from economic transformations and the demand for highly-qualified specialists. The growing need for engineers is precisely the reason why our students and alumni are popular among employers providing excellent working conditions.  AGH University offers studies at three levels (cycles) of education:  first cycle – bachelor’s degree (6–7 semesters)  second cycle – master’s degree (3–4 semesters)  third cycle – doctor’s degree.  With the competitiveness of our programmes at heart, we continuously develop our programmes in English, striving to reach an increasingly higher level of internationalisation.  The AGH University of Krakow offers nearly 100 postgraduate courses aimed at both professional engineers (programmes in the fields of ceramics, electrical engineering, power engineering, gas engineering, geodesy, geophysics, mining, computer science, mechatronics, metallurgy, robotics, telecommunications, financial engineering) as well as people who want to specialise or decide for a career shift, for example, in the field of digital marketing, computer science and computer graphics, cybersecurity, environmental protection, accounting and controlling, occupational health and safety (OHS), property valuation and management, as well as project, business, IT, quality, and sales management. A new and particularly interesting part of the educational offer are postgraduate courses in the field of corporate branding, personal branding, talent management, product design, as well as in the area of social communication and social media.  Campus  A unique feature of our campus, compared to other Polish universities, is the location of all teaching and research facilities, main offices of faculties, administration and student organisations, as well as the AGH University Student Campus, its clubs, sports, and recreation facilities, in close vicinity and one district of the city, creating a 40-hectare hub nestled in the heart of Krakow.
