Overview

Located by the East Lake of Wuhan, the Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) is a national key university directly under the administration of the Ministry of Education of P. R. China. The University has twelve disciplines: engineering, medicine, management, science, philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, history, agriculture, and art. It is among the first Universities joining the national “211 Project” (a project to develop approximate 100 key universities and colleges in the 21st century) and “985 Project” (a boosting project to develop a number of top-class universities at international level). The affiliated Union Hospital, Tongji Hospital and Liyuan Hospital enjoy a high reputation in China.
