Overview

Kazakh National Agrarian Research University (KazNARU) is the first agricultural institution of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Today, KazNARU is presented excellence of teaching and research, international cooperation and the active promotion of young scientists. KazNARU is located in a picturesque area of Almaty at the foot of the Trans Ili Alatau mountains. KazNARU regularly ranks among the best universities of Kazakhstan - according to the results of national ratings, the university is in the top ten universities in the country. Moreover, in 2022 the university is among the 500 best universities in the world according to QS World University Ranking. KazNARU offers 100 educational programs is developed by academic staff of the University and successfully implemented for bachelors, masters and doctorate students in the following fields of knowledge: Agriculture and Forestry, Veterinary, Social Sciences, Engineering and IT, Biotechnology, Food Science. 2 undergraduate and 2 postgraduate programs are accredited by German agency ACQUIN. KazNARU is a member of Erasmus+ program, Iseki-Food, EENTER, GCHERA, UNAI, ICA, CASCADE, Eurasia-Pacific Uninet, Visegrad, Silk-Road SUN (Korea), Silk-Road China, IREG. The University signed agreements on collaboration with more than 140 HEIs and scientific-research institutions. Our students have an opportunity to study in Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Malaysia, Indonesia, Uzbekistan, China, USA, Hungary, Turkey, UAE and others countries. KazNARU has a good infrastructure for innovative research. Annually the results of these research works are published in over 200 articles in scientific journals included in Web of Science and Scopus databases. The university is a participant in such programs as DAAD, MASHAV, GIZ, UNICEN, MEVLANA, USAID, FULBRIGHT, Bolashak, UNDP, FAO, DBU, American Councils.
