Overview

The University of San Martín is a vibrant community of scholarship and learning that provides a stimulating environment for research, education and cultural activities. Established by law in 1992, UNSAM is a public university which boasts undergraduate and graduate education in the Arts and Humanities (School of Humanities, Mauricio Kagel Institute and Institute for Research in Cultural Heritage), the Social Sciences (School of Political Science, School of Business and IDAES), and Engineering and Natural Sciences (School of Science and Technology, 3IA, IIB, INCALIN, Sabato Institute and the Institute for Rehabilitation). UNSAM forged partnerships with S&T institutions in the country (National Research Council, Atomic Energy Commission, Industrial Technology Institute, National Space Agency, the Institute for Research of the Ministry of Defense, and the Antarctic Institute) attracting faculty members of high repute to train its 15.000 undergrads and 3.000 graduate students with the highest research standards of the nation. UNSAM seeks to be recognized as a research university, with a mind set on innovation, pursuing the highest level of teaching and committed to serve the country through the discovery and transmission of knowledge.
