Overview

Founded in 1853, the University of Florida is a major, public, comprehensive, land-grant, research university. With more than 50,000 students, UF is a member of the prestigious Association of American Universities. It is among the nation's most academically diverse universities, with more than 100 undergraduate degree programs and more than 200 graduate programs. UF is an inclusive community where for more than 90 years, international students have succeeded in achieving their aspirations. UF’s international student enrollment of more than 6,600 from more than 100 countries places the university among the top 25 universities in the U.S. for international student enrollment. UF also sends some 2,200 students to study abroad each year. In addition, UF manages hundreds of collaborative agreements with partner institutions across the world and supports thousands of international trips for research, training and collaboration.
