Overview

The University of Twente (UT) is a young, entrepreneurial research university with proven excellence in the field of new technologies and their impact on society and humanity. Our students and researchers develop technologies that shape the future among others in the fields of nanotechnology and biomedical engineering, IT, robotics, and geo-information science.  Based in the Netherlands, in the student city of Enschede, UT offers a wide range of high-quality and internationally oriented bachelor's and master's programmes. As the most entrepreneurial university of the Netherlands, we have an outstanding track record in value creation, as well as starting and creating new businesses, with more than 1000 successful ventures to date. Our campus is 146 hectares, about 200 football fields and has as many activities to offer as a small city. The campus provides talented students, scientists and professors with a fascinating learning, working and living environment. From libraries and  state-of-the-art laboratories  to fitness and  sports facilities . You can practice almost any sport you can imagine.  Thanks to UT's international profile and its location close to the German border, the campus - with over 100 nationalities - is a multicultural community.
