Yuan Ze University

Overview

Yuan Ze University (YZU), was founded in 1989 as the Institute of Technology through a private endowment fund given by Mr. Yu-Ziang Hsu, the founder of the Far Eastern Group. YZU has transformed into a comprehensive university in 1997 and soon became a top quality institution in Taiwan’s higher education. YZU offers leading programs in the Colleges of Engineering, Informatics, Management, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Electrical and Communication Engineering. All colleges started the International Programs for Bachelor degree from 2017 academic year to provide more international education programs for students. In 2024, the College of Medicine and Nursing was established. As part of the Far Eastern Group, one of the top five business conglomerates in Taiwan, Yuan Ze provides students and faculty with added values and expects ourselves to be the benchmark university in industry-academia liaison. Located in Taoyuan City, YZU enjoys the tranquility and the advantage of ease access to other major cities in Taiwan. We are only 40 minutes away from Taipei and 20 minutes from the Taoyuan International Airport by car.
