Doha Institute for Graduate Studies offers a wide variety of scholarshipsannually to attract academically qualified students from within and outside the State of Qatar. The scholarships vary, some awarded on the basis of merit and academic competition, while others are based on financial need.
The Doha Institute for Graduate Studies is an independent institution founded in 2015 based in Doha, in the State of Qatar. Postgraduate programs of study are offered in two schools: the School of Social Sciences and Humanities and the School of Public Administration and Development Economics. Arabic Language is the main language for study and research and is supported by other common languages. The Institute seeks to achieve its goals through the integration of teaching and learning with scientific research, taking into consideration the interdisciplinary approach.
The Institute also aims to qualify researchers who can advance human knowledge in accordance with international scientific standards. As well as developing professionals who are fluent within their disciplines and advanced skills and enabling leaders who can respond to the needs of the Arab region in sustainable development, and intellectual, social and professional advancement.
Types of Scholarships:
1) Tamim Scholarship
1) No student may combine the scholarships of the Institute with any other scholarship whatever the source thereof.
2) Only students who have a good academic standing continue to benefit from the Institute's scholarships. The Institute may, In accordance with its procedures withdraw scholarships from students who violate this requirement.
3) The scholarships offered by the Institute shall not benefit the students enrolled in the Executive Masters or Diploma programs or specialized certificates.
4) Scholarships offered by the Institute shall not benefit students who have previously benefited from the same scholarship in a previous period of study in any of the programs of the Institute, whether or not they are awarded a degree.
