Job Description & Key Responsibilities
The Account Manager for Local Shops will play a pivotal role in nurturing and expanding Talabat's network of local merchant partners in Kuwait. You will be the primary owner of a portfolio of existing accounts, ensuring their satisfaction, and working strategically to grow their business on the platform. Core responsibilities include:
- Account Management & Growth: Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with local shop and restaurant partners. Understand their business needs and provide tailored solutions to help them increase sales and achieve success on the Talabat platform.
- Performance Analysis & Consultancy: Monitor and analyze partner performance using data tools and reports. Provide actionable, data-driven recommendations to optimize their product listings, pricing, promotions, and overall customer service.
- Negotiation & Renewals: Contribute to commercial term negotiations and contract renewals with existing partners, aiming to strengthen the partnership and ensure a mutually profitable, ongoing relationship.
- Partner Retention: Proactively work to reduce partner churn through consistent communication, swift problem-solving, and demonstrating the continuous value Talabat brings to their business.
- Internal Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams within Talabat, such as Operations, Marketing, and Support, to ensure a seamless and effective experience for the merchant partner.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on the performance of your assigned accounts, highlighting achievements, challenges, and growth opportunities.
Requirements & Qualifications
To be a successful candidate for this role, you should meet the following criteria:
- Work Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in Account Management, Sales, or Business Development, preferably within the retail, restaurant, e-commerce, or delivery platform sectors.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data and metrics to derive actionable insights and make informed decisions.
- Communication & Negotiation: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Arabic, with persuasive and effective negotiation abilities.
- Results-Oriented: A self-motivated, proactive individual capable of working independently and driven to meet and exceed targets.
- Technical Proficiency: Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.
- Personality: Relationship-builder, problem-solver, and adaptable to working in a fast-paced environment.
