Accountant - I2P | Finance Shared Service Center
A leading organization is seeking a qualified Accountant specializing in Invoice-to-Pay (I2P) processes to join its Finance Shared Service Center (FSSC) in the United Arab Emirates. Job Description & Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end payment cycle, from invoice receipt to final disbursement. Operating within a Shared Service Center model aimed at standardizing and streamlining financial operations for efficiency and control, this position is crucial for ensuring seamless financial processing. Core responsibilities include:
- End-to-End I2P Process Management: Overseeing the workflow from the receipt and registration of supplier invoices, verifying their accuracy against purchase orders and contracts.
- Matching and Authorization: Ensuring three-way matching (PO, GRN, Invoice) is completed and obtaining necessary approvals in line with company financial policies.
- Payment Processing: Preparing and executing supplier payments through various channels (bank transfers, checks) according to a scheduled timeline, while maintaining high data accuracy.
- Reconciliation & Accounts Payable: Performing periodic reconciliations of supplier accounts, addressing vendor payment inquiries, and resolving any discrepancies or disputes.
- Compliance & Control: Ensuring all processes comply with internal company policies, applicable accounting standards (IFRS), and local UAE regulations.
- Documentation & Archiving: Maintaining accurate and organized financial records for all invoice and payment transactions to support audit and review processes.
- Participation in Continuous Improvement: Contributing to process improvement initiatives within the Shared Service Center to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and cost control.
Qualifications & Requirements
To be a successful candidate for this role, you should meet the following criteria:
- Academic Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional Experience: Proven work experience of 3 to 5 years in accounting, with a strong focus on Accounts Payable and the I2P cycle. Previous experience in a Shared Service Center (SSC) or Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) environment is a significant advantage.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel. Hands-on knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics is essential.
- Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Arabic and English). Ability to work with high accuracy under deadline pressure. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Team player with the capacity to collaborate with different departments.
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of accounting principles (IFRS) and internal control procedures.
