Job Description

The appointed Accountant will be responsible for a range of pivotal tasks that contribute to the accuracy and smooth operation of the financial processes for the company or the entity being recruited for by the platform. Key responsibilities will fall within the following scope:

• Daily Accounting: Recording accounting entries, managing the general ledger, and ensuring the precision and integrity of financial data.

• Tax Compliance: Assisting in the preparation and submission of required tax filings in accordance with applicable laws and regulations in Kuwait.
• Audit Support: Providing necessary documents and information for internal or external audit processes.
• Accounting Systems Utilization: Working efficiently with common accounting software (such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or specialized local software) to execute required tasks.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

To be a successful candidate for this position, you should meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
• Work Experience: Proven practical experience of at least 2 to 3 years in the accounting field. Experience in the Kuwaiti or GCC market will be a strong added advantage.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Knowledge of local tax regulations in Kuwait is desirable.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office software, especially Excel (formulas, pivot tables), with the ability to quickly learn specialized accounting software.
