Assembly & Testing Technician (GIS) Job in Dammam

Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The successful technician will be assigned to the production and quality team, responsible for a range of precise and critical tasks that require accuracy and adherence to high safety standards. Key responsibilities include:

• Assembly Operations: Performing assembly operations of GIS components or similar industrial products according to detailed technical drawings and standard specifications. This involves handling mechanical and electrical components.
• Inspection and Testing: Conducting a series of routine and functional tests on assembled units to ensure they meet required quality and performance specifications before shipment or delivery.
• Quality Assurance: Contributing to quality control processes, identifying any malfunctions or defects during assembly or testing, and reporting them immediately to the relevant supervisor.
• Reading Schematics: Ability to understand and interpret engineering schematics, technical drawings, and written instructions to execute tasks accurately.
• Basic Maintenance: Performing simple preventive maintenance on tools and equipment used in the work area.
• Safety: Full compliance with all occupational health and safety procedures in force at the plant, ensuring a safe working environment for the team.
• Collaboration: Working closely with team members, engineers, and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and achieve production targets.

Qualifications and Key Requirements

To be a suitable candidate for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: Diploma in a technical field (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering) or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of practical experience in a similar field, such as industrial assembly, testing technician, or maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment. Previous experience in electrical equipment or power distribution systems is a significant advantage.
• Technical Skills:
