Job Overview

The Assistant Outlet Manager will be placed within the hotel's Food & Beverage (F&B) department. This role will be pivotal in supporting the daily operational functions of one or more of the hotel's outlets, which may include formal restaurants, cafes, buffet lounges, or in-room dining services. The incumbent is responsible for assisting in delivering the highest standards of guest service, maintaining operational efficiency, and contributing to the outlet's financial and commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Operational Support: Assist in supervising the outlet's daily operations during assigned shifts, including opening and closing procedures, and managing workflow.
  • Guest Service: Ensure the delivery of an exceptional hospitality experience that aligns with MOVENPICK's global brand standards. Address guest feedback and requests professionally and promptly.
  • Team Supervision: Provide direct guidance and support to the front-line team (servers, bar staff, etc.) under the direction of the Outlet Manager. Assist in training new employees and fostering a culture of teamwork and professionalism.
  • Quality Control: Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, food safety, presentation of food and beverages, and adherence to defined service protocols.
  • Administrative Assistance: Support the Outlet Manager in administrative tasks such as scheduling, monitoring inventory levels, and assisting with sales and revenue reporting.
  • Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all internal hotel policies, as well as the health, safety, and regulatory laws in effect in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Work Experience: Proven previous experience of at least 2-3 years in the hospitality industry, preferably in a similar role (Head Waiter, Supervisor) within the Food & Beverage department of an upscale hotel or restaurant.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of restaurant operations, luxury hospitality service standards, and basic food safety principles (HACCP certification is a strong advantage).
  • Personal Skills:
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills in English (Arabic is a significant advantage).
    • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving skills.
    • Professional appearance and demeanor fitting of a global hotel brand.
  • Education: A diploma or bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is a significant advantage.
