Job Overview

The Associate Manager for Risk and Resilience will play a central role in designing, implementing, and continuously improving risk management frameworks and operational resilience plans. Key Expected Responsibilities & Duties

  • Risk Management Strategy Development: Contribute to establishing and developing a comprehensive enterprise risk management strategy aligned with the company's strategic objectives and international/local regulatory standards.
  • Risk Identification & Assessment: Lead the identification of operational, strategic, financial, and technological risks, conducting qualitative and quantitative analyses to assess their likelihood and impact.
  • Building Resilience & Continuity Plans: Design, test, and maintain business continuity plans (BCP) and disaster recovery plans (DRP) to ensure the organization's ability to maintain critical operations under various disruptive scenarios.
  • Compliance Oversight: Ensure internal policies and procedures comply with local UAE regulations (e.g., SCA, Central Bank) and relevant international standards (e.g., ISO 22301 for Security & Resilience).
  • Reporting & Communication: Prepare clear and comprehensive reports for the Board, relevant committees, and senior management on risk posture, the effectiveness of mitigation controls, and resilience readiness levels.
  • Awareness & Training: Lead awareness and training initiatives to foster a culture of risk management and resilience across the organization.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Academic Qualification: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CRISC (Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control), CBCP (Certified Business Continuity Professional), or PMI-RMP (Risk Management Professional) are a significant advantage.
  • Experience: Proven practical experience of 5 to 7 years in risk management, business continuity, or operational resilience, with preference given to experience in sectors like financial services, energy, technology, or consulting.
  • Technical Skills: In-depth understanding of risk management frameworks (COSO, ISO 31000) and business continuity standards. Strong analytical skills and proficiency with data analysis tools.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent leadership abilities and superior verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English. The ability to influence, persuade, and manage stakeholder relationships at all levels.
  • Personal Attributes: Proactive and strategic thinker, attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions in uncertain conditions.
