Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The Barista will be placed at one of the cafes or outlets affiliated with KUWAIT JOBS HERE's partner company in Kuwait. The core focus will be on delighting customers through the art of coffee, while adhering to the highest standards of quality and service. The direct responsibilities for this position include:

• Preparing and serving a wide range of coffee beverages (espresso, cappuccino, latte, etc.) with high precision and professionalism.
• Ensuring product quality by following standard recipes and established operating procedures.
• Providing friendly and efficient customer service, greeting customers, taking orders, and processing payments.
• Maintaining consistent cleanliness and organization of the work station (bar) and equipment (espresso machines, grinders) in compliance with health and safety standards.
• Managing basic inventory of consumables such as coffee beans, milk, and syrups, and reporting shortages.
• Contributing to sales targets by recommending additional drinks or products to customers.
• Working collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth operations, especially during peak hours.
• Continuously learning about coffee bean varieties, brewing methods, and trends in the specialty coffee world.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

To be eligible for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

• Previous practical experience working as a Barista or in a customer service role within cafes or restaurants. Experience in Kuwait or the GCC region is preferred.
• Practical knowledge of coffee preparation equipment (espresso machines), grinders, and various beverage types.
• Excellent verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and a positive attitude.
• Neat personal appearance and excellent personal hygiene.
• Flexibility to work during day/evening shifts and on public holidays as per the rotating schedule.
• Team spirit and the ability to interact courteously with customers of various nationalities and backgrounds.
• A genuine passion for coffee and delivering a memorable customer experience.
