Job Description: The First Ambassadors of Hospitality

The Bellman is the first point of contact guests have upon arriving at the hotel, making this role crucial to their first impression and overall experience. Your primary responsibility will be to translate the luxury of the hotel brand into a warm welcome and memorable service.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Guest Welcome and Reception: Greet guests at the hotel entrance with a friendly smile and warm welcome, assisting with unloading their luggage from vehicles.
  • Luggage Service: Assist guests during check-in and check-out by safely and efficiently transporting their luggage to their rooms or to their transportation.
  • Providing Information: Offer accurate initial information to guests about the hotel's facilities and services (restaurants, gym, pool, meal times) and provide brief guidance on nearby landmarks.
  • Internal Coordination: Work closely with the Reception and Concierge staff to ensure a seamless transition for the guest from the moment of arrival.
  • Appearance and Quality: Maintain a neat, clean, and professional personal appearance in accordance with the hotel's uniform standards, reflecting a professional and luxurious image.
  • Transportation Service: Duties may occasionally include arranging taxis or providing basic assistance in the car park.
  • Safety and Security: Adhere to all hotel safety and security procedures, particularly concerning the movement of luggage and guests' personal belongings.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

To be a successful candidate for this role in a luxury environment like ENNISMORE, you should possess the following attributes:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role (Bellman, Doorperson, Porter Assistant) within the hotel or hospitality sector is preferred, especially in 4 or 5-star hotels.
  • Personal Skills:
    • Excellent English communication skills (minimum requirement). Knowledge of Arabic is a strong added advantage.
    • A friendly, courteous personality with a service-oriented mindset and team spirit.
    • Ability to work under pressure during peak times while maintaining a smile and composure.
    • Physical fitness to stand for long periods and handle luggage.
    • Attention to detail and reliability.
  • Legal Requirements: Applicants must have a valid residence permit in Qatar and be able to transfer sponsorship, or be outside Qatar and ready to relocate if selected.
