Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The Brand Manager will hold a pivotal role within the Saudi marketing team, responsible for leading and executing comprehensive marketing strategies for assigned brand(s). They will operate within AstraZeneca's global framework while adapting plans to fit the Saudi market and local healthcare dynamics.

Core expected responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing annual brand marketing plans and tactical strategies to achieve sales and market share objectives.
  • Conducting in-depth market analysis, including competitor monitoring, market trends, and customer (HCP & Patient) insights to identify growth opportunities.
  • Leading the launch of new products or new indications into the Saudi market, coordinating closely with Sales and Medical Affairs teams.
  • Managing the brand budget effectively to ensure a high return on investment for marketing activities and promotional initiatives.
  • Designing and executing multi-channel (digital and traditional) marketing campaigns targeting Healthcare Professionals (HCPs).
  • Creating accurate, engaging, and compliant medical and marketing content.
  • Working closely with the field sales team, equipping them with necessary tools, resources, and training for success.
  • Building strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and major healthcare institutions.
  • Monitoring and analyzing brand performance using key metrics (KPIs) and preparing regular management reports.

Qualifications and Requirements

AstraZeneca is looking for candidates with proven experience and a passion for the healthcare sector.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Business, Marketing, Pharmacy, Medical Sciences). A Master's in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent is a strong advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical marketing or brand management experience within the pharma industry, with experience in the Saudi or Gulf market being highly desirable.
  • Deep knowledge of the Saudi Arabian healthcare environment, including the regulatory framework and market dynamics.
  • A proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies that drove brand growth.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in both English and Arabic.
  • Strong analytical ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
  • Leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Good knowledge of digital tools and an innovative approach to marketing.
