Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will occupy a pivotal role in driving and expanding the company's portfolio within the IT sector. The core responsibilities will blend commercial acumen with operational account management to foster client relationships and achieve financial targets. Key duties include:

  • Business Development: Identifying and targeting new business opportunities within the Bahraini and regional IT consulting market. This involves prospecting for new clients, preparing compelling proposals, and closing deals.
  • Account Management: Proactively managing relationships with existing clients to ensure their utmost satisfaction, understand their evolving needs, and broaden the scope of services provided. The goal is to foster loyalty and achieve organic growth through cross-selling and up-selling.
  • Strategic Leadership: Contributing to the formulation and execution of the company's business strategy for the IT consulting segment, aligning with overall organizational goals.
  • Technical Understanding: Developing a strong grasp of the IT consulting services offered by the firm (e.g., digital transformation, cybersecurity, software consultancy, technical project management) to effectively match client challenges with viable solutions.
  • Performance Management: Setting clear sales and profitability targets, tracking performance against these metrics, and preparing regular reports for senior management.
  • Internal Collaboration: Working closely with technical consulting teams and operational support to ensure service delivery meets client expectations and agreed specifications.

Qualifications & Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this role, you should meet the following criteria:

  • Work Experience: A proven track record of 5 to 7 years in business development or account management, with a strong focus on the IT consulting or technology services sector. Experience in the Bahrain or GCC market is a significant advantage.
  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's in Business Administration (MBA) or similar qualification will be highly regarded.
  • Personal Skills:
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills (both verbal and written) in English. Arabic language proficiency is a strong plus.
    • A high aptitude for building relationships and professional networking.
    • Strong analytical skills for assessing market opportunities.
    • The ability to work independently and lead initiatives, coupled with a collaborative team spirit.
    • Flexibility and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge: A solid understanding of the dynamics within the regional IT consulting marketplace and established business best practices.
