Job Description and Key Responsibilities
The Business Development Manager in Oman will be the cornerstone of the company's local growth strategy. This role will involve leading new client acquisition efforts and expanding Regus's market share in this vibrant market. The core responsibilities will focus on:
- Driving Sales and Development: Identifying and targeting new business opportunities through active market research, pursuing leads, and building a strong, sustainable sales pipeline.
- Managing the Full Sales Cycle: Overseeing the sales process from start to finish, including initial prospecting, conducting presentations, negotiating terms, and closing deals to meet and exceed defined revenue targets.
- Building Strategic Relationships: Developing and maintaining strong business relationships with corporate (B2B) clients, including startups, SMEs, and multinational corporations seeking flexible office solutions.
- Market Intelligence: Conducting in-depth analysis of the Omani market to understand industry trends, identify key competitors, and uncover new growth opportunities for Regus services.
- Internal Collaboration: Working closely with marketing, customer service, and operations teams to ensure a seamless transition for new clients and an exceptional experience from day one.
- Reporting: Preparing regular reports on sales performance, pipeline activities, and market forecasts for senior management.
Required Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in this leadership role, you must meet the following requirements:
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in business development or sales within a B2B environment, with a strong track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets. Experience in the commercial real estate, business services, or coworking industry is a significant advantage.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of sales and marketing principles, with exceptional relationship-building and strategic account management abilities.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills (both verbal and written) in English and Arabic. You must be persuasive, have a strong presence, and be capable of delivering impactful presentations.
- Personal Attributes: You should be a proactive, independent worker with high self-motivation and the flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Technical Proficiency: Good command of Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems like Salesforce.
