Job Description and Key Responsibilities
The Cards Product Manager will hold a pivotal role in leading the end-to-end lifecycle of card products (credit, debit, prepaid, and digital). The core responsibilities will focus on the strategic and operational development of these products to enhance market share and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include:
- Strategy & Development: Leading the development of the vision and strategy for card products, aligning with PayTech Group's overall business objectives and the Omani market landscape.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Overseeing the product from conception and design, through launch and marketing, to continuous enhancement and renewal.
- Market & Competitive Analysis: Conducting in-depth market research to examine consumer trends, identify growth opportunities, and analyze competitor offerings to ensure product differentiation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with Engineering/Development, Finance, Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Compliance teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Requirements Definition: Gathering and analyzing business and technical requirements (BRDs/PRDs) to create solutions that meet both customer and internal stakeholder needs.
- Performance Analysis & Metrics: Monitoring and analyzing key product performance indicators (KPIs), such as customer adoption, revenue, transaction volume, to assess success and recommend improvements.
- Compliance & Security: Ensuring all card products and their features comply with local and international regulations and data security standards (e.g., PCI DSS).
Required Qualifications and Experience
PayTech Group is seeking candidates with a strong background in financial product management, specifically within the cards domain.
Essential Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of proven hands-on experience in product management, with a focused track record on card products or payment solutions within the financial services or FinTech sector.
- Deep understanding of the card industry ecosystem, including processing, networks (Visa/Mastercard), risk management, and APIs.
- Strong knowledge of local (Omani) and regional regulatory frameworks related to payments and financial compliance.
- Excellent analytical and strategic skills with the ability to interpret complex market data and make data-driven decisions.
- Experience working with product development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in English (Arabic is a strong advantage).
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
