Country Manager - Consumer Electronics (GCC)

This distinguished leadership position offers a unique opportunity for ambitious professionals to join a leading Consumer Electronics company and assume the role of Country Manager responsible for its operations across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) market. The position will be based in Oman, with a scope of responsibility encompassing all member states. Job Description and Responsibilities

The incumbent will hold a pivotal role at the helm of regional operations and will be responsible for:

  • Strategic Leadership & Planning: Developing and executing the comprehensive business strategy for the GCC region, aligning with the company's global vision. This includes market analysis, identifying growth opportunities, and setting ambitious sales and revenue targets.
  • Sales & Marketing Team Leadership: Directly overseeing sales, marketing, and distribution teams across the region. Motivating and leading the team to achieve their full potential and ensuring operational targets are met.
  • Partner & Distribution Management: Developing and strengthening strategic relationships with key distributors, retailers, and trade partners in each country. Ensuring a robust and effective distribution network covering the target market.
  • Financial Performance Optimization: Accountability for the financial performance of the region's operations, including sales, profitability, budget management, and cost control. Analyzing financial reports and taking corrective actions when necessary.
  • Brand Development: Working to enhance the company's brand presence and reputation in the competitive GCC consumer electronics market. Ensuring the implementation of marketing initiatives and participation in local trade shows and events.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensuring all company operations in the region comply with local and international laws and regulations. Preparing detailed periodic reports for senior management on market performance, challenges, and opportunities.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this leadership role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Work Experience: Proven track record of at least 10 years in sales or business management, with a strong focus on the Consumer Electronics sector. Previous experience in a Country Manager or Regional Manager role for the Gulf region is a significant competitive advantage.
  • Market Knowledge: Deep and thorough understanding of the GCC market dynamics, including inter-country differences, distribution networks, key competitors, and consumer preferences.
  • Leadership Skills: Exceptional ability to lead and motivate diverse, high-performing teams. Excellent communication and negotiation skills at all levels.
  • Analytical & Financial Skills: Strong capability to analyze financial and market performance data and make evidence-based strategic decisions.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. A Master's in Business Administration (MBA) will be an added advantage.
  • Languages: Full professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken. A good working knowledge of Arabic is considered essential for effective market and local network engagement.
