Customer Care Specialist – Freight & Logistics

ALIONZ GLOBAL SERVICES WLL is pleased to announce a career opportunity for a dedicated professional to join their dynamic team in Doha, Qatar, for the position of Customer Care Specialist within the Freight & Logistics sector. This role is fundamental to ensuring customer satisfaction and building the company's reputation in the competitive logistics market of the Gulf region.

Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The Customer Care Specialist will occupy a pivotal role as the primary communication link between the company and its clients. The main responsibilities will include:

  • Managing Customer Inquiries: Handling customer queries through multiple channels (phone, email, ticketing system) and providing prompt, accurate, and professional responses regarding shipments, service rates, delivery schedules, and other logistical matters.
  • Shipment Tracking: Monitoring the progress of shipments from origin to destination, proactively updating customers on any changes or delays, and acting as a liaison between the client and internal operations teams.
  • Problem Resolution: Effectively addressing complaints and operational challenges raised by clients. This involves working closely with operations, shipping, and customs departments to find practical solutions that maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Service Knowledge: Possessing a thorough understanding of the company's range of logistics services, including air, sea, and land freight, customs clearance, and warehousing, to provide accurate advice to customers.
  • Follow-up & Evaluation: Conducting post-service follow-ups with clients to gauge satisfaction levels and gather feedback for continuous service improvement.
  • Documentation & Data Entry: Accurately recording details of all customer interactions in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system or similar platforms to ensure clear records and effective follow-through.

Qualifications & Essential Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this role, you should meet the following criteria:

  • Experience: Proven work experience of at least 2-3 years in a customer service or care role, with a strong preference for candidates with prior experience in the freight, logistics, or transportation industry.
  • Personal Skills:
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both English and Arabic.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively to handle multiple requests.
    • Customer-oriented attitude with a genuine desire to assist.
    • Accuracy and keen attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Outlook), with the ability to quickly learn company-specific software and internal systems.
  • Education: A university degree (Bachelor's) in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
