Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The Data Science Manager will play a pivotal role in leading and developing the data science function for Visa in Qatar. You will be responsible for translating business strategy into actionable analytical initiatives that drive value and growth. Key responsibilities include:

• Technical and Team Leadership: Guide, manage, and mentor a team of data scientists and analysts. Foster their development and ensure project delivery within scope, timeline, and budget.

Qualifications and Essential Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in data science or advanced analytics, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role managing an analytics team.
• Education: A Master's or Ph.D. degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or Business Administration (with an analytical focus). Professional certifications in data science or project management are a strong plus.
• Advanced Technical Proficiency:
  • Strong expertise in programming languages like Python and R, and machine learning frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Deep hands-on experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and big data platforms such as Hadoop or Spark.
