Job Overview

The Delivery Director holds ultimate responsibility for the successful end-to-end delivery of Parsons' major and complex projects. In this strategic leadership position, you will be accountable for the planning, execution, and final handover of the project within the defined scope, approved budget, required schedule, and the world-class quality standards synonymous with the Parsons brand. You will work closely with senior clients and stakeholders, leading large, multidisciplinary teams towards a common goal.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Strategic Leadership: Provide overall leadership and direction to all project teams, including project managers, engineers, consultants, and contractors.
• Performance Management: Ensure all aspects of the project are delivered to agreed specifications while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
• Financial Control: Oversee large project budgets, manage costs, forecast expenditures, and ensure financial efficiency and accountability.
• Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks to project success and develop robust mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
• Client Relations: Act as the primary point of contact and be accountable for client satisfaction, building strong, enduring relationships with key stakeholders.
• Planning & Coordination: Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, coordinating all phases from initial design through to final delivery and commissioning.
• Reporting: Prepare detailed periodic reports for senior management on project progress, risks, financial performance, and any deviations from plan.

Essential Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) from an accredited university. A Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Project Management is a significant advantage.
• Professional Certification: A globally recognized project management certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) or equivalent is highly desirable, if not required.
• Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in managing and delivering large-scale, complex engineering and construction projects, with at least 5 years in a proven senior leadership role of similar capacity (e.g., Delivery Director, Senior Program Director).
• Regional Experience: Prior hands-on experience managing major projects within Saudi Arabia or the GCC region is highly preferred and often essential, with a deep understanding of the local market and regulatory environment.
• Leadership Skills: Exceptional ability to lead, motivate, and manage large, diverse teams. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills at all levels.
• Technical Skills: In-depth understanding of all project lifecycle phases, from conception to delivery. Strong knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
• Language: Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential. Knowledge of Arabic is a significant plus.
