- Team Leadership: Direct and monitor the performance of front-line staff during the shift, providing support and necessary intervention to ensure efficiency.
- Crisis Management: Act as the primary crisis management officer on duty, handling emergency incidents, security issues, or serious complaints in accordance with established protocols.
- Communication & Coordination: Serve as the central liaison between all hotel departments (front and back of house) to ensure seamless information flow and effective collaboration.
- Quality Control: Conduct walk-through inspections of the hotel to monitor standards of cleanliness, safety, and overall presentation, taking immediate corrective action when needed.
- Administrative Tasks: May involve assisting with shift report reviews, handling relevant financial transactions, and ensuring logs and documentation are completed accurately.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Hilton seeks highly qualified candidates with the following experience:
- Practical Experience: Proven experience of at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or leadership role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a 4 or 5-star hotel setting. Previous experience as a Duty Manager or Senior Front Office Supervisor is a significant advantage.
- Hotel Knowledge: Deep understanding of hotel operations, Property Management Systems (e.g., OPERA), and luxury guest service standards.
- Leadership Skills: Strong ability to lead and motivate a diverse team during peak and high-pressure periods while maintaining composure and professionalism.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English. Ability to interact with guests and staff from diverse cultural backgrounds with tact and understanding.
- Problem-Solving Ability: A proactive mindset and the capability to make quick, sound decisions under pressure to resolve conflicts and operational challenges.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts, as required by business needs.
