Executive Head Chef - Isfahani Restaurant (Persian Food)

Job Description & Key Responsibilities
The Executive Head Chef will bear full responsibility for the efficient and professional management and operation of the kitchen. Key duties will include:
- Leadership & Supervision: Leading the entire kitchen brigade (chefs, sous chefs, prep cooks), providing direction, delegating tasks, and fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Quality & Consistency Control: Overseeing all food preparation stages, from receiving ingredients to plating, to ensure adherence to the highest standards of quality, hygiene (HACCP), and consistent taste across all dishes.
- Menu Development & Innovation: Contributing to the development of seasonal and permanent menus, innovating new and authentic Persian dishes that cater to diverse clientele and enhance the restaurant's unique identity.
- Cost & Inventory Management: Being responsible for monitoring food costs, setting kitchen budgets, and managing inventory effectively to minimize waste and ensure profitability.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensuring full compliance with all local Bahraini health and safety regulations and maintaining a safe kitchen environment for all staff.
- Training & Development: Training and developing the skills of the kitchen team to elevate their capabilities and sustain a culture of excellence and innovation.
Required Qualifications & Skills
To be a successful candidate for this leadership role, you should meet the following criteria:
- Experience: Proven experience of 7-10 years in the culinary field, with at least 3-5 years in a similar senior role (Head Chef or Sous Chef) within upscale dining establishments.
- Specialization: Deep expertise and comprehensive knowledge of authentic Persian (Iranian) cuisine. A background working in reputable Persian restaurants is highly preferred.
- Leadership Skills: Strong ability to lead, motivate a team, and manage time effectively under the pressure of a busy service.
- Managerial Skills: Solid understanding of food cost management, quality control, and health & safety procedures.
- Creativity & Passion: A genuine passion for cuisine and creativity, with the ability to balance authenticity and innovation in dish creation.
- Technical Knowledge: Full mastery of various cooking techniques and kitchen management.
- Certification: A degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or a related field from a recognized institution is a strong advantage.
