Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The appointed Foreman will be stationed within the Duct Fabrication workshop, directly supervising a team of technicians and laborers. The core focus will be ensuring the fabrication and assembly of ventilation ducts and HVAC system components are executed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. Key responsibilities include:

• Operational Supervision: Leading and directing the daily workflow of the duct fabrication team, assigning tasks, and ensuring adherence to production lines and project schedules.
• Quality Assurance: Guaranteeing that all fabricated products (ductwork) conform to precise technical specifications, engineering drawings, and the company's stringent quality standards.
• Safety First: Enforcing and implementing all Occupational Health and Safety (HSE) protocols in the work environment, conducting regular checks, and ensuring proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by the team.
• Resource Management: Effectively planning the use of raw materials (e.g., galvanized sheet metal), tools, and equipment (such as hydraulic shears, bending machines, and welders) to minimize waste and ensure operational efficiency.
• Training & Development: Providing technical guidance and mentorship to team members, enhancing their skills, and ensuring their thorough understanding of required procedures and standards.
• Coordination: Working closely with project managers, engineers, and other departments like planning and procurement to ensure workflow alignment and that outputs meet the needs of various projects, particularly those related to ships and offshore structures.

Qualifications & Essential Requirements

To be eligible for this leadership role in a dynamic industrial setting, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Practical Experience: Proven hands-on experience of at least 5 to 7 years in Duct Fabrication or a similar industrial field like sheet metal works or steel structures. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role (Foreman or Team Leader) is mandatory.
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of duct fabrication processes, including the ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings (blueprints). Knowledge of material properties, shearing, bending, forming, and welding techniques (Spot Welding or continuous welding) is essential.
• Leadership Skills: Strong ability to lead and motivate a diverse workforce, coupled with excellent communication (verbal and written) and problem-solving skills to provide clear instructions and resolve issues.
