Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The Front Office Receptionist will hold a pivotal role as the first and last point of contact for guests, making a critical impact on their overall experience. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Guest Reception: Welcoming guests upon arrival and departure in a friendly, professional manner that reflects the brand's values.
  • Check-in/Check-out Procedures: Efficiently and accurately processing guest check-ins and check-outs, ensuring all details and payments are correct.
  • Customer Service: Handling guest inquiries, requests, and needs promptly and effectively, whether in person, by telephone, or email. Providing accurate information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
  • Reservations and Administration: Assisting with managing reservations, updating guest records, and coordinating special requests (e.g., adjoining rooms, amenities).
  • Team Collaboration: Working closely with other hotel departments such as Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Security, and Concierge to ensure a seamless guest journey from start to finish.
  • Financial Transactions: Handling cash and credit card transactions securely, generating invoices, and settling accounts.
  • Upholding Standards: Ensuring the front desk and lobby area maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, order, and visual brand representation.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

To be a successful candidate for this position, you should meet the following criteria:

  • Education: A diploma or qualification in Hospitality Management or a related field is considered an advantage.
  • Experience: Proven previous experience in a similar role (Receptionist, Customer Service Representative) within the hospitality or service industry. Experience in 5-star hotels or luxury hospitality environments is highly preferred.
  • Personal Skills:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English (mandatory).
    • A friendly, courteous personality with a strong customer-service orientation.
    • Ability to work under pressure and during peak times while maintaining composure and professionalism.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in basic computer software (Microsoft Office Suite) and Hotel Property Management Systems (PMS) such as Opera, Fidelio, or similar (a significant advantage).
  • Appearance: A neat and professional appearance.
